I think this sounds interesting but not pratical in the sence that who ever is kicking the most butt at the time will get his super move faster to kill even more people. As a server admin/owner I can see this as being the single biggest complaint amongst new commers (aka noobs).

I don't really think it's a bad idea I just think it'd take more time and work to balance than you guys would think, and it'd have a significant impact on whether people thought the game was fair, unfair, or ridiculous.

I guess my two cents would consist of: If it raised slowly enough that it wasn't necessarily "tactical" (like something you do to save yourself from dying), if killing someone else raised your bar a little bit too (so that people who were actually good and weren't getting beat down would have a chance to fire one every so often), and if taking a sensu bean or eating a cookie dropped the bar a little bit (so that it would be harder to abuse absorbing damage), it could work. The only other tweak I'd make is one where people who aren't participating in combat (are idle, or don't defend themselves / do X amount of damage over Y time) steadily lose "limit" from their bar until they get active again.

The reason I suggest all the tweaks is because a cut and dry damage system would have some people just going afk and coming back nuking the server, or they'd just sit there with sensus and let people beat on them so that they could kill Z people on the server with a tactical limit break.

Buu's Genocide could work as well as Vegeta's Energy Rage, Gohan's Energy Rage, And Frieza's death wave. Frieza's death wave could be used multiple times like in DBZ Legends....or he could use a melee combo then a finishing death ball....or perhaps a melee combo/death beam/death wave/death ball combo for big asskicking.

Niobe...I also think of Vegeta's "Sacrifice" as an Ultimate..but only for Majin...before that a stream of pure "Madness" *ki blasts 4EVERYONE* enveloping/flooding the playing field was his calling card...then his Final Flash just plain "ACE'd" the competition...with the magnificent spectical that it is...and the insanity of the moment (Krillen in a hysterical panic, Trunks desperately searching for an alterior motive behind his fathers crazed state, Cell opening himself up with open arms for a world of hurt, and poor 16....How did that miss ANY of them..I may never understand..*PS:Alot of light surrounding it...the actual siza wasn't THAT gigantical...sure did look it though*)..............guts...Yes multiple colored guts...

Yeah.. sorry I tend to elaborate on my suggestions a lot. I make them big because the more you add the less holes people will find in your argument. I sorta wish more people on this forum would make suggestions like that... it's more to read but there are less holes to fill. Anyway, thanks for the comment, although remember the original idea isn't mine. Some of the moderators aren't appreciative of people coming into other users' threads and making their own suggestions, so I'm just throwing that stuff out for IAmKong to think consider.

They COULD be homing...it all depends on the coders.

Anyone here played NBA Street Vol 2??? Sounds weird...but GAMEBREAKERS. K, your fighting...you build up a little meter as your playing..when its full for the first time..you can use it,, but its not too too effective or horribly fantastic or you can save it.

K, now after you save it you have two options...wait till you build up a Level 2 Gamebreaker which is absolutely devastating and fantastic...or cancel the opposing team's gamebreaker.

Now apply that to this idea...you fill up your meter the first time...you can pull of an attack thats not too spectacular or damaging. Or you save it....later on, some one trys to pull a meteo on you and you cancel theirs (a little strategy there) or they even try to pull off a Level 2 Meteo and you use your breaker to pull off a cool looking block where you take some damage,,but nothing compared to what could have happened.

Level 1 meteos could just be a basic combo with a nice finish blow or something.

Level 2 = the big stuff...genocide...orr my fav VEGETA REZOKU FREAK OUT (best moments in DBZ are when he flips and starts throwin ki balls like nuts)

:laff: Don't appologize..atleast you stay on topic while elaborating..if you want a side show view some of my longer posts...I bet alot of them have something to do with "Why Vegeta's better than Kakkorot" or "how to make Vegeta a god"....Some good examples of when I try to elaborate with a "purpose" would be in suggestion threads concerning matters of intrest to myself...("Atomic Blast",B*k*h*tsuh*, o,RENZOKU, Galit Gun, or any attempts to add GT/movie stuff...kill Kakkorot move additions though..every time..dead)

-Suggesting/tweaking other people's suggestion is a "bad habit" of mine..
That I don't really intend on breaking..not so long as "incomplete" suggestions are made... Du Hast Meist..NEIN!!

i agree with your idea. the 2 level attack will be super-duper-uber ( :laff: ) destructive.

ok here are my attack suggetions for lvl 2:
buu- genocide. heavy damage to a medium area,
but he isnt killed (he did it a couple of times)
goku - kaioken. quick pl boost (not so big boost)
for a limited time.
gohan - insanity. makes gohan invurnerable for about 30 sec.(maybe less, you say)
krillin - super destructo disk. disk that siplts into 6
small disks in a oktagon.
frieza - for him i have two ideas.
1. death wave. large area attack that pushes enemies away and damages them.
2. super death ball(odd idea). you see,
the death ball frieza does is with one finger in the show. what about a two hands (10 fingers) death ball?
trunks - blind boom. binding attack is quite bad now, so a much stronger blinding attack can be good.(much more damage,larger area)
vegeta - self destruct. blows the **** out of a very very large area, in the cost of the player life.
cell - well since cell jr's are down for engine problems, i have nothing for him.
i need some time to think for the lvl 1 attacks,
but still, what you say?

nah he was turnd to stone like. he was still levetating, but then when the smoke cleard he fell into the hole he made. and he crackd into 100 peaces. well im ausy :p they might have just added it.. 2 our 1 lol must b why our gt is better :D:D hah well i still love this idea hope it works man send it 2 a modeler. or somthing!

Pff, powerfull finishing attack which you can't block.

Atleast make them like the new melee system, so the other player can intercept his move.
If it can't be blocked, than this would just be a remake of DBGT on the playstation 1!

did you ever suggested a two handed death ball?
if you did, i never saw that one.
and most of the attacks suggested are beams, ball,
or self kaboom .
charging a melee combo for that time will be pointless, for it cant be so strong such as a BIG beam.

*GT=Crap on a trashcan lid* Not stone...*so not stone....won't even begin to speak on this dreary topic*

A two handed Deathball...Of course...He did this to "blow up" Namek...(I think it could have a slightly longer than average charge, a "delayed" effect where once it hits the ground a kind of "countdown" begins until it explodes *FF like damage or more* and causes large portions of the map to be obliterated...*explosion barely effects Frieza*, Fairly High Ki cost, ALMOST as slow a FF, detached, and it is pretty easily deflected...a quick Kamehameha would set it off course...but to no avail..lol...an attack as powerful as ATLEAST a MAX charged Galit Gun should overtake it....*just give some fairness*...that's all for now

happy you liked my suggestions, but i think frieza used a single-handed death ball on namek. no matter...
i also have some idea for lvl 1 attacks like lvl 2 attacks, here goes:

buu - cant think of one for him, havent saw his episodes for quite some time.
goku - triple kaio attack. heavly pumped beam attack.
gohan - guru hidden powers. gives gohan 1/5 of his power bonus for 30 sec.
krillin - same as with buu, havent seen him in action for quite some time now.
frieza - energy cage. targets an enemy and stops him from moving, attacking or charging attacks for 20 sec. targeted also gets 1.2 more damage from attacks.
piccolo - triple team. creats two weaker copies of piccolo, that each have ki blast, generic beam,
and weaker special beam cannon.
trunks - stab. gets a faster speed for the move,
draws his sword, swoops and stabs the enemy in the guts. ouch.
vegeta - supa renzoku. very low charge, 10 ki blasts, that also move faster than a normal ki blast.

Just a suggestion for this suggestion, perhaps using the new combo melee, these meteo attacks could be like some direction combo/button you press to pull it out, and the only way to block it is by the other person using his meteo bar to counteract it.

Or something...

These may be some interesting ideas, but do you have any idea how to impliment them?

Splitting disc attack for krillen (aka) A lovely server bomb.

The cell Jr's? lets stack up the entitys, have a few more servers drop.

You have to keep in mind, this is HL1. Some of this stuff may be possible in HL2, but HL1 is rather primitive. You have enitity limits. If to many entitys (say little AI cell jr's, discs, shields) build up and it goes over the limit, you get server crashs. They had a major problem like this in NS. Since NS has alot to do with.. buildings and AI guns, you could imagin the mapping horror it became (especialy with comm's or gorges that like to turret farm).
