when i use melee in 1.1 i hit them and then when i try to fly back to them, it SUCKS so much coz u have to wait for a while ten u can hit them.. it would be nice if you could just connect with your hits.. hit them, swoop and hit them, hit them up, hit them down, hit them left and right without that wait.. isn't it what dbz was like? they were able to make connections.. just like in dbz legends u could connect your hits.. besides if your hit and u can't recover from the hit it should be justified u should be able to hit them.. n if u recover fast u could just dodge whoever is meleeing you.. this would be much more fun to actually do imo

besides with the delay u juss wait till they get up then u can hit them.. this time its more instant... same effect, but more instant, and WILL be more fun

They added a delay in melee to stop the block-counterattack exploit. I'm sure that there are other reasons as well, but the delay is only a second, it's not that long, by the time you teleport to your enemy, the delay is long over.

set it to 0 and you can kick your opponet again and again ...

but this is lame ... once you kick him he has no almost chance to win this fight ...
joe built this in, to make it a lil bit fairer

BUT WAIT i like put both these

mp_nomeleehittime 0 ( as has allready been suggested)
AND
mp_laydowntime 0

u can get up quicker
