Yeah. the mechs arent too impressive (you can see them duke it out in the Animatrix, and they get utterly smashed).

Heh, just becuase people don't get shot in the movie much doesnt mean that it's any worse. Im sure that 60% of the fans are looking for just the action, but the plot is pretty excellent and is the primary reason that i watch it.
