low FPS prob...

ok look this is my prob i got Gforce 4 Ti4400
and i got low FPS i mean thet my FPS dont stay on 100 or on 70 they all ways move and sometimed they going down to 20!
and i have 2 play with 100 FPS if not i sux in ESF :|
soo plz tell me what 2 do!

Or you can install mr satans script, it's real easy to tweak your FPS/connection settings...

try to run in another resolution, another bitrate
another esf quality (cl_fxquality 0-1; cl_dusttrails 0/1)
if this doesn't help, look into your detonatorsettings
if you aren't doing it already, play in OpenGL

Theres no reason whatsoever that a Geforce 4 TI 4400 couldn't play HL at at least 40 FPS. I'd say check for the latest drivers at www.nvidia.com and make sure you have DirectX9b. Unless you have a 50MHz processor or your card is generic and has a horrible clock speed, theres no reason HL should be so bad, also this should be in the Help forum >.<. Also if your on Direct3d mode, try OpenGl, and if your on OpenGl, try direct3d. Another reason could be because you have Software mode running, which usually runs HL incredibly poorly, in a way, to me, its more like a safe mode. And, 56k usually does not effect the framerate, you'd notice when you lag you can still look around at usually top FPS. 56k is just pumpin crap through the phone line to play HL, your comp is really doing the rest..

mostly it comes you fly in esf, and you see most part of the compleet map. you cant to this in other mods (mostly not )

Oh come one, 100 fps or you suck??????? I have a GForce for (bah ATI is so much better) and a 2.53GHZ Intel P4 and 512k upstream cable and i usually run at about 50 fps. I do fine. If your crazy about fps then just set up a game and only use bots

well.. if you play at 100fps in esf. you can play the game better then 40 or 50fps. i noticed when i usuelly play at 40fps. and when i formatted.. i play at 100fps. and i noticed i played MUTCH better then i play with the 40fps. movement goes mutch smoother. and mutch better

i got a 64meg vid card and i get 60 fps. all u gotta do is go to customize and turn all the fx to low(theres no difference in the quality of the fx to me) and the SHAZAM u got ur high fps
