Looking for a new LCD monitor...

Im stuck here with my 1024x768 CRT, and Im looking to find a good LCD for a decent price. Unfortunately, I have no idea how they have evolved since I first looked at them a long time ago.

Im looking for something with a wide viewing angle, and good for gaming (ie proper black, minimal motion blur).
Screen size isnt really important, so long as the resolution is as maxed as possible.

What is a good brand? What brand should I avoid?
Any recommendations?

What size are you looking for?

If you want anything bigger than that, you're better off just buying a small HDTV. 30" LCD monitors cost about as much as 42" plasma HDTVs, depending on what you're looking at.

That Asus one looks nice, I was looking at something similar before but my local didnt have them in stock yet. The LG seems alright, but the resolution seems a tad low for my liking. I was apprehensive of Asus monitors at first, but maybe Ill go with that one if I acn find one...

OK I ended up buying a new monitor and for what its worth (price/size/quality) I think its quite the bargain

23" HD monitor, great viewing angle, brilliant contrast, no blur.
