Ok, I've been playing ESF since the first public release. With 1.0, it became pretty playable, and I enjoyed the skill it took to master the variety of characters. I took the biggest liking to Krillin, mainly because he was a real effort to upgrade. Once he was though, he became an annoying little flash of fists. Now, here's my issue: in 1.1 he's way too hard to upgrade. I've been trying in various different games, and I just tried for 4 hours! It's not an issue of how many kills I get with him, it's just that he upgrades way too slow, or just not at all. I understand he's the weakest fighter, but somehow there seems to be a definite and noticeable change in the transformation system that somehow nailed Krillin. If that could be fixed in the next version, it would be nice. He's a big pansy as it is and the transformation boost in speed is all he really has going for him ;D

Only the boost in speed? I take it you haven't played in 24 man deathmatch server, where beams are flying left and right, melee is being flung out everywhere, and madness is being put at hand. Krillin is pretty good AS HE IS.

I can't see the connection you made with what feature(s) Krillen has, other than speed, that makes him good. Especially in a 24 player DM where beams and melee are rampant.

?? What makes him pretty good AS HE IS? (Besides speed)

Instant kill disc, Kamehameha (supposedly the strongest beam) and scatter beam(I don't know how it kills me...). I think thats all you really need.

I can't, for the life of me, work out how to use that scatter beam.

Those are useful features, but in comparison to larger radius attacks, Krillin takes a backseat in giant death matches. Scatter beams are only good if the enemy has no idea how to block and are low in life. Destructo disc? Yeah, ok, but not as good as the Frieza disc. Speed is how Krillin makes up for the fact that all of his failings are worth it in the end.

To use the scatter beam, just charge up and shoot it: it will split into several beams, and hit almost everyone.

You're crazy; scatterbeam is the most powerful and effective attack in the game. It's the equivalent of 6 homing finishing busters in one attack... how can you beat that? The problem is that in 1.1 you can't really transform with him, and if you do, your PL will be totally shot every time you die, which makes his beam attacks much less potent.

And destructo disc is just in there to give him an edge. You don't ever have to use it and he will still be a decent character without it, but if you do use it, and you know how, it'll work out fine for you.

I've seen enough people easily deflect a scatter beam without breaking a sweat. Finishing buster requires you to battle with the beam power struggle style. That doesn't always work. For the scatter beam you just block when you see it coming, and it deflects it like a ki blob. Just seems a little less useful than people say it is :)

Ermmm....i went ssj with trunks, and there was a krillin just over 1 mil (if not under) and he shot a scatter right into my finishing buster, and it struggled, and the scatter shot owned it.

All I can say Ive noticed a great increase in the difficulty in raising your PL. It took me over 30 minutes to transform as Vegeta with over 30 kills, all of thoise hard fought.
