So I'm finally taking my intro to 3d modeling class. We just had our first day and ****ed around with extruding, just **** i already knew, so before we go into full swing I decided to quickly model a katana.

Basically my first attempt at box modeling / nothing but extruding.

every vertex should define something. what are the ones halfway down the blade defining, and the one in the middle at the tip? similarly there are a few on the hilt that could go.

ah, i was trying to make it low poly as possible. the entire thing became ******* discombobulated and ****ty when i made the hilt, ******* took me 45 minutes to fix it. it was RIDICULOUS

i didn't wanna **** it up anymore lmao

you have a lot of wasted polys, most of them on the upper body, too many unneeded rows
