IT Crashed AGAIN!!!!!

Umm i downloaded beta 1 and when i go to start a game or join a game it performes an illeagle operation and goes to the desktop.

If ANYONE could spare the time to help me it would be great cause i REALLY would like to play this mod one day this week. here are the details:

I am running it through Counterstrike (Retail of course)
I have Tried open gl and Direct3D on all settings
Have fixed problem with Voiceicon.spr
After fixing that problem this problem started to happen
Have tried it on mine and friend computor both don't work
have over 256mb of RAM
Giving up on idea's

My friends computer was bought yesterday! Brand new so i couldnt be that shuld i re-download the installer then???
