I think that when I get mad enough something is gonna happen. There is no way that anger can be a feeling. It has to be an emotion that can somehow change who you are. can't wait till someone presses my buttons so far that I beyond snap.

I'm not sayin SSJ but I can imagine an Aura of somesort, an aura of energy made by yourself. It isn't THAT far fetched!

d***** I caught the flu, sucks to be me... also, You can send ppl across the room!? teach me. *bows down* Anyways, the proof link doesn't work, you gotta proof that link before we can see any proof. ...lol.

edit: holy cow look at how many people said ki isn't real!!!! Jese, read all this stuff guys, that or study martial arts, it'll help you out. And one question hibiki or cucumba: Eventually, like in a while, I am young is all I'll say, but what type of martial arts would you suggest for me getting into for self defence? Also, I want to knock ppl across a room :) j/k. But I am usually the person that gets bullied, but a lot of the times I get hurt, so what martial arts style would you guys suggest that emphasize speed? That way I can dodge instead of coming out of p.e. class looking like this: :fight: I was thinking tai-quon-do (man, I can't spel), but on you're thoughts It seems like it isn't right for me. Remember, I don't want to learm how to kick ppl's butts (well, yeahy actually j/k :) ), just learn how to master speed and someday ki itself for strength and speed in sports, I get really tired in sports, especially b-ball, and getting bullied.

Tae Kwon Do => the way of punches and kicks.

If you go to learn this, make sure that your teacher is reputable, there are a lot of bums who quit at red belt and claim that they are a blackbelt of there own TKD style.

And as for Influenza, I happen to make the vaccine for that at my company. It's the world's largest provider of it. You should have supported my paycheck :)

As far as styles that emphasize speed. I humbly suggest Wing Chun or Jeet Kune Do. It seems that you are looking for a defensive style though, so I would suggest that you also look into the following: (in no particular order)

  • Judo
  • Jujitsu
  • Akido
  • Hapkido
  • Tai Chi Chuan
  • Pa Qua
  • Shotokan Karate

I'm practicing it, But, you CAN store ki in the human body, but too much causes burnout effects. Unleashin ki balls with massive energy is quite frankly, impossible, but releaseing small ki balls and throwing them as a spar is, indeed, possible. Flying is actually a possibility, because, the more ki you can intake, and keep in the aura around you, can also be pushed under you, so, it can be done. Yes ki can make you move faster, punch harder, jump higher, and yes, for idiots, think better.
its not flying man, its levitating, no person in the world has enough ki to raise a human being and guide him through the air... but levitating is possible... and another thing, for people just starting out, focusing your ki isnt the most important thing, its getting your physical condition well and mastering the physical arts before moving on to ki... also you need to follow basic procedure, like wear loose, light clothing and don't manage ki while your sick or after eating... think of the basics as a wall blocking you from your ki, you must manage the small things first...

Ki is real, you can feel it to some extent, normally felt in a tingling feeling in the hands or head. my teacher sensed a strong energy in the class room, and he only tried to work with his energy for a few years (hes like 60 and a little nuts) . I dont know where this energy was but it waz there. The only problem is you must be in a very relaxed state to feel it. I could feel energy going into me at my conformation, it wasnt the bishops, possibly from some outside force going through his body. At the least everyone has lifeforce, a weak energy which can be sensed rather easily at CLOSe range. What you call ki is an energy realated to fighting, evil or some other fighting force. this energy takes a LONG time to sense and is (as of now) difficult to acquire a substantial amount, what you call a burnout is acquiring ki without storing it properly. I have no idea how to store it, but ill find out, time to change classes..:)

uhh i really wouldnt try to store mass amounts of ki if i were u........

no matter how hard u try u can not store ki in any way... it just dosnt work.. trust me i have tryed on several ocasions..

u dont all ways get a burnout (that only happens if u try to store a hellva lot o ki...).. most of the time it just dissapates into the air..

Okay, I really don't have the time to argue about is Ki is real or not, but all I have to say, is that I believe/study/practice ki, and ANYTHING is possible with chi/ki. All it takes it a matter of time and dedication. Sure we may not be able to fly, but maybe it is because no one has worked long enough to do such a thing. Or maybe the human lifespan is not long enough to accomplish this.

I've been working with ki/chi for two years, been through all the dbz fan sites talking about blowing up their 200 year old tree in their backyard. Pretty funny stuff. "Them and their kamehameha's."

Ki is real, if you don't believe in it, why?

If it seems to anime-ish, did you know that DBZ is only a modified and amplified version of ki. DBZ is real ki, but greatly improved. So don't ever say ki is from DBZ.

Also, if you looked for Ki, but can't find it, where did you look? Under your couch?

Here's a good site about KI. Not very up to date, but it works.

So yeah, KI is real. I'll be back later. Time to get ready for martial arts. Be back in a few hours.

EDIT: Here, this is from 'Black Belt Magazine' in the October 1997 issue...

"According to chi kung instructors, the mind leads the imagination and the imagination leads the chi. Therefore, if you can imagine the function and path of your internal energy, your mind will actually be able to lead it anywhere you need it to go. The mind chooses the experience and the imagination makes it come alive. Since the subconscious doesn't recognize a difference between a physical or a visualized experience, the physiological response will be the same for either category."

First thing, focusing your KI is the most important part.

Second, it's not your physical condition or how well you can preform a backflip that determines how well you can handle your KI.

Third, there is no basic precedure. You don't HAVE to wera loose clothing, or light clothing. Sure it may help you concentrate and make you feel free, and move freely, but other than that, do whatever you want.

All fighting styles are "made up" Mirai. Jeet Kune Do mixes elements of western boxing, Wing Chun, Tae Kwon Do and either Hapkido or Akido, I can't remember. Bruce simply took what he liked best from each fighting style and applied his own unique philosophy.
