I have Half-Life in CD but not in steam?

I have a Half Life CD but not on steam. What do i do?
I get the error "could not load library" cl_dlls - client.dll

You register the CD Key on steam.

Do this

open steam
click on games -> "activate a product on steam" -> next -> "i agree" -> enter the cd key from your half-life.
now half-life should appear on your games window which means you can download the whole content and start it using steam.
