I get 1.1.1 when i DL 1.2.3. Plz HELP US !

My friend have this Pb. When he DL le 1.2.3 Version, all is okay. But when he want to install it, The Folder which is propose is: C: \sierra\half-life, and not like me on C: \Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\*nick*\half-life.

So when he install in sierra\, the version he have is 1.1.1 oO. Strange no? the backround is blue => Take a look :

Son he tried to install in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\*nick*\half-life. And with that, there were NO Earth special forces on the games list of steam. But the folder was 288Mo, same as me.

He is fan of DBZ and he'd like to play at esforce XD. Plz, help us !

He has to have steam nad run half-life atleast once before installing esf.

Yes he often used steam with cs.

Maybe a clue: With sierra he have, in the shortcut: C: \SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game esf


And me: "C: \Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 70 -game esf

this screenshot shows the old WON version btw and not Steam.
the 1.1.1.0 means half-life version 1.1.1.0 not esf.
also, there is no such 1.1.1 version of esf

If he plays Counter-Strike: Source, he has Half-Life 2, and you can only play ESF with Half-Life 1.
But If he plays CS 1.6 then I don't know what to do

you need steam installed with half-life (1). and you need to run hl THROUGH steam at least once before you install esf.
then just install esf into your steam halflife directory (c:\steam\steamapps\accountname\half-life) and youre ready to play.
esf 1.2.3 is the newest version.

I think we found the pb. My friend have no Half-life ! And he can't have it ! Take a look to this screen:

tell your friend to buy half life 1 and then try installing it again, this game cant be played without it

you do know youy are able to run esf of cs1.6 (i run it on the esai version of cs)
