How did you start off on theese forums?

The question is simple how did you start here?


For me it was the suggestions part whit ideas that got blown um by Nretep cause they would unbalance the game and later on i moved to offtopic, ESF chat, Help and Noob Central. Im still on those and sometimes i look in Mapping since im a noob maper.

Well that is for me now how about you guys?

I initially came here because DMZ was offline for a long time.....I guess I stuck around.

I started off with a bunch of suggestions as well. Then I migrated to Off-Topic. Then I didn't post for a while. Now I hang around Newbie Central, ESF Chat, Off-Topic, and Suggestions.

I started off in Newbie Central cuz I had a question

Then I went to ESF Chat

Then to IRC

Now I'm in nothing but off topic and IRC

i liked the game, i came to the forums and read here and there, i liked the art forums, and started posting there, then i continued to post there, and the modeling and off topic forums, it just seemed like a cool place full of people being creative when i joined....

SS_Vegeta (lead ESF modeller) recruited me for his Half Life mod almost 2 years ago.

Then I met DPredator, Gonadz, Prozac, GhostfaceKillah, Humpie, and all the other freaks.

DPredator lured me to the ESF IRC channel, and I chatted there for a month or so before I joined on the forums.

I'm always on IRC, and 99% of my posts are in off topic.

I've never seen DBZ (even 1 episode), and I've only played ESF 3 times or so.

I started in suggestions, with lame aditions like oozaru, and movie content. Later on mapping lured me into it's nets. I also liked the game a lot. Still do =)

i poked fun at the old arrogant signature makers and stuck up for a mod called the rage.

I was looking for some mods to play to kill time, wondered if there were any DBZ ones (I was watching it at the time) and headed for Google.com.

I'm so glad the first search result wasn't DMZ...

Anyway, I played it, liked it, hung around Model/Skins for a while, and spread out. Eventually I stopped being a newb and became a Veteran. That was after about 3 years of forum going...

I've made some cool friends here. The community is what I like the most, and it's the only reason I stick around really. I may not be a big part of it, but it's fun to step in every once in a while.

i started up in the suggestions forum! suggesting stuff that wouldn't even be capable of a HL engine and then i was everywhere, but now i am only in the Off Topic and Art section..

Suggestions forum was the only reason i came, i liked giving and looking at ideas for the game, then slowly moved all over the forum

Same, I had a basketful of suggestion ideas, some were ignored, some greeted with positive praise, some shot down. It took about 4 months before I left suggestions and spread to the rest of the forum.

I came here from another DBZ forum. I called either Hibiki or Hsu stupid for closing all the threads when I was nubbeh! That's pretty much all I remember.

well, I got this game shortly after I became a regular itnernet user. I joined some newb clan and they were holding a tournament, and the thread about our clans tournament was here. I posted there then me and my buddy Glenn had a race to see who could get 50 posts first. He spammed like hell and almost got a ban whoopin. I was a good guy, I just had a few month old topics I bumped up. My posts were all legal though.

then one day, I called a guy a dumb****, and Majin_You said..

"watch that flame Magus, next time, it's official. :\"

I had an aspiration to be a moderator on these forums. Then I made friends and stuck around, and became a moderator, then I became a tester. Now hanging around IRC made me retarded.

I played DMZ a lot, and heard about ESF on it. I joined the forums to ask if the mod played tolerably on 56k (my connection at the time) while downloading it (took about a week, I think =P).
I liked the game, so I just hung around for awhile. I checked out the mapping section and looked into mapping from there. If it wasn't for these forums, I'd probably never have dabbled in 3D design.

Meh, was a noob like everyone else here. I came to these forums before I actually got this game

So I asked a few questions because the last DBZ games I tried to play (DMZ, TDiR) Never worked for me no matter what i did. So I asked questions before i dled and installed it. I was under Chris109 at the time. Then got a name change.


Still here, a few things I'm against. But still here XD
