How did you start off on theese forums?

I played DMZ a lot, and heard about ESF on it. I joined the forums to ask if the mod played tolerably on 56k (my connection at the time) while downloading it (took about a week, I think =P).
I liked the game, so I just hung around for awhile. I checked out the mapping section and looked into mapping from there. If it wasn't for these forums, I'd probably never have dabbled in 3D design.

Same here. Without ESF i would have never started mapping.

While I was playing ESF I heard some people talking about the forums, at first I didn’t even know what it was but I checked it out anyway and here I am.

Then...well, I started posting more often, started trying to help out, etc.

I don't remember how I came accross ESF. Probably looking up some BFP stuff. Found the site, and the forums of course.

I got into a stupid argument about a fusion between Godzilla and Vegeta. After that, I made a few suggestions (some actually made it into the game . . . except the bakahatshua >_<) then I let the forum eat my life. After watching general idiocy reign with VT, Deverz and about 4 others doing the moderating, I asked VT to give me some power so I could stop the insanity.

The rest is history.

After taking a quick look through my list of posts, apparently, i was commenting on the difference in run speeds from 1.1 to 1.2. Ended up helping a few other people every now and then, and eventually gravitated towards Off-Topic where most of my posts are now.

Seeing the mods tell how they started makes me wonder who else around here is eventually going to reach mod status.

Way back in early 2002, I discovered this up-and-coming mod, so I checked it out. Realizing it needed a lot of potential work, being in the alpha stage, I registered on the forum, and basically spammed the Suggestion section, like any n00b named -iS-Trunks would.

i played esf back in the day when nobody had a skin and all you did was shoot beams with some weird gray guys... but yeah i joined the forums a while ago a good while before beta 1.0 when i used to go by the name mYsTiC-RoShI...... yeah those were the good days

saw the mod on a tv show and started playing it, then i started to visit the forums and made maps for esf (started playing on 1.8 and mapping when alpha 2.0 was just out)... so i was mainly around the mapping section
nowadays im just browsing everywhere ^_^

I can't remember why, but I think I joined hte forums like soon before beta 1.0 was released.

I hung around in Newb Central, them moved on to spamming Suggestions with a tonne of ideas that everyone love but anyone who cared obviously didn't concider. After that I moved to Artwork and Signatures and hung around there as I started to get into Off Topic, got banned by Hibiki who slapped me with a double warning :S while I was in the middle of one of my first Fight Club round, which ultimately was never finished because of that incedent. Now I just hang around.. well.. Artwork and Off Topic...
