How Did u find anime?

well tyhis si from anouther thread i posted in, so im makeing a thread about it, so bite me ^_^

A long time ago i started to watch "this lame cartoon" (dbz) cos i was board, i liked it, then i watched more on cartoon network, and also watched "tenchi" and then i found the word "anime" and from that day, my life IS anime

I actually started when my parents bought a whole series for me and my bro from HMV called "Cahsan", we watched it, liked it, then got the first "3x3 Eyes" movie, liked it, then we got into db/dbz through the Fox network, then we got into renting a ton of it from Blockbuster and this neat Anime rental place about 10 minutes from where I live.

And, that sums it all up, basically.

Well I wouldnt consider myself a freak. I found out a bout it from DBZ just like you. Maybe if I made more a week than I would be more into anime but I just cant afford all those DVD's. I have however seen a couple anime, like all of DBZ, Neon Genesis, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Ghost in the Shell, Robotech, and a couple versions of Gundam.

Well... My friend is rich and has a crap load of anime. So I raided his hosue nad wtached some. Got addicted and then bought "The Slayers" the first season I guess of it and I only need 2 more videos to have the hwole first series.

My parents had this cheesey cable service in NYC. I beleive it was called WHT, anyway it only gave you two channels. On friday afternoons it played stuff like the original 70's Tekkaman and Gatchaman (G-Force). As well as all the other cheesey late 70's anime involving big assed robots. I can't remeber the names of half of them. I was 3 or 4 at the time, that's 22 years ago . . . ;

well i started watching dbz on cheese TV it was some time during the frieza saga when goku was fighting the ginyu force up to were piccolos fighting frieza and never really thought much of it. Didn't like it or hate it but latter on i started watching the cell saga and got hooked now im fanatical bout dbz:talk:

Ya man Astro boy owned. He could fly, his eyes were a flashlight, he had lasers in his fingers it was an amazing show except for the fact he was in these red underwear saving the world.

i got into it after insulting and calling it *** for 3 years striaght... then discovering that teknom an, my fav. anime show ever, turned out to be anime (i thought it was american animation and i was like 7 at the time, but i knew it rocked my world).

I also started in DBZ after watching 1 episode, and seeing a guy die a horrible horrible death.

I don't know if you consider Teenage Ninja Turtles anime but Cowboy Bebop started it all, DBZ was something I knew about because others liked it.

I didn't really get into it till here lately, i still haven't seen all of the android saga and most of the beginning of the cell saga.

the buu saga is what im watching now.

no cos anime is the japanase name for cartoon, Teenage ninja etc is not japanase lol
