HL2 Preload Has Begun

Still, I'd rather purchase the game from a local source and get my legit HL2 CD complete w/ CD key...what can I say? I'm old-fashioned =P

Thats my plan. I much prefer a nice CD, so even if the game is terrible I get a new coaster =P

? Pre-loading HL2 only took me about 25 minutes.. didn't seem that particularly fast..

The file you downloaded was approx. 1 gig in size. Thats pretty damn fast if you ask me.

I would NEVER trust those idiots at Valve to send me A FULL GAME through that thing. Steam is cool when it works but does anyone REALLY trust it to that extent?I know I don't, and I've had a relatively painless steam experience.

Personally, I'd much rather get the damned CD. I don't like not having a hard copy of the game.

Besides. If Steam's security is anything like Valve itself, my copy of the game will be stolen in mid-download.
