Suddenly this is happening every few minutes into a game. It happens on CS too. It started a few hours ago, while I was playing CS.

Usually this happens less than once a day, but I didn't really mind that.

I use Steam, Open GL, Windows XP Professional, 800 x 600, and I have no idea what's causing this. I was playing ESF for an hour before starting CS, and shortly after I started playing CS, this happened.

Help would be appreciated A.S.A.P., and if any more info is needed, just say the word.

P.S. hard to describe, but also misplaced textures (I think), seem to flash across my screen and vanish quite suddenly. This is happening in ESF only, and I noticed it around the same time this problem occured.

That is a strange problem o_O

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers?

Also, what graphics card do you have?

the best thing to do would be to go get the lateset drives for your graphics card , sound card and mainboard. also try to get a bios update for your mainboard and a vga bios update for your card (make sure they are the correct ones thou). it colud be u have maybe got a virus , that modified your hl exe, or it could just be steam (when i looked in the 1.2 shortcut on install it had it run off steam.exe, but i don't bother with steam , i just use won) try using the shortcut directory to esf this way (hl.exe -console -game esf) esf runs fine on won for me , maybe it could be your hl , try reinstalling hl, and if that doesn't work it maybe ethier your os or a hardware problem (but i doubt it would be your hardware) by the way what kind of graphics card do u have ?
