hl error

when i have loaded esf and want to create a game or join, a screen appears (i think it's the console) which says "loading..."
then it appears what has been loaded and then i get an error:
hl error, if you have this problem more times, then restart your computer. If i restart my computer and try all of this again, the same things will happen.
Before i got this error esf worked correctly.
Please help me!!!!

what about other mods?
have you tried to reinstall esf and hl?

i tried to reinstall esf and halflife, but now, while i am loading esf, i'll get trown out of the game or i'll get the same mistake.

I have reinstalled the game more times now and the error I get is this: can't load client.dll or something like it.
I tried fmod like in another threat but it still doesnt work.
