Help with Steam

i have a problem i downloaded Steam but i dont know how can i play esf on it

someone can tell me?? :cry:

First you install steam, Then you install Half life to your steam folder, then you install esf to your Half life folder in steam and your done

now i have a 2. problem when i start the game and i join a server the game crash :cry:
