Help with openbeta final please

ok, so i used the tutorial on how to make a esf open beta here:

and when i look for my server i cant find it, then in the console i type connect [my server ip] and it starts to load and says disconnected n says my map differs,, then i click on my dedicated server and click on the console tab and its says something like my client was dropped or something, pleasee helppppp.

If it says the map is different than the clients, it means the map you have on your client is different than on the server. You sure your client & server files are exactly the same?

i cant because my stupid half life has decided not to work :\, so i need some help, againnnn, sorry

It won't really help anyone by just telling us "my half life has decided not to work". We need errors, those can help us find out what is going wrong. Why is your Half Life not working? Are you using Steam as well? Are you using any mods (ECX)?

well, my friend deicded to change my halflife settings to d3d and now it isnt starting up, it just closes again, and i am using steam, my id is the same as my account on here . so is there any way u could help me?? ive tryed deleting it and re-installing it.

Change your settings to Open GL first ^^;

im trying, i cant though cuz when i try to start my halflife or ecx or openbeta, it just closes down, so i cant even change to open GL :\

Open up Half-Life 1 and change your settings to OpenGL. After that try opening ESF again.

Also, are you using a legit copy of Half-Life? ..and steam?

Hmmm, I'm sure there is config file somewhere with graphics settings. Not sure which one it is though..

ok sorry to bother you about that problem, ive got it sorted out, my laptop is realllyyyyy dodgy :\.. anyway, im going to print screen what happens when i try to join my own dedicated server.
