help with camera angle

hey i just got beta 1.1 and when i enter a game the view is looking down on the player. moving the mouse lets me look forward but it always springs back to an overhead view. HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP!!!! please

also it says my executable is out of date but when it searches for updates it says i am up to date
