Help, Keeps bringing up game browser

I installed it to c:/valve/steam/my email/half-life but it keeps taking me to the game browser, I don't have half-life though, but I do have condition zero and regular counter-strike, If anyone can help, please do

i think u need hl to play it on steam only 90% sure

You need Half-Life to play mods of Half-Life (obviously). It's not a free game.

Counter-Strike itself is a mod of Half-Life. You don't have mods of mods. My advice is to buy a cheap copy (probably about ten to fifteen dollars) of Half-Life Game of the Year Edition and enter that CD key to your account to then download HL.

ESF does work if you run it off of the retail package of Counter-Strike.
It's taking you to the game browser... and? You can't join a server from the list? I'm not seeing the problem.

Yes it brings up the game browser and cant play esf from that
