Then obviously you DON'T have everything configured right :p . What's your problem? A compiling error? ESF not recognizing your map? When you ask for help you should at least state the problem in some kind of detail  .

The file can't be found because it isn't there. The map isn't getting compiled correctly, and the tools that kick in to continue the process aren't given the file they expect to do their job. The message you're posting gives no indication otherwise of the actual problem.

Post your compile log (preferably link to it, as it'll be pretty large) so we can see what's going wrong.

** Executing...
** Command: Copy File
** Parameters: "c : \documents and settings\leo\my documents\david\david's mapping\map.pts" "C:\ Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\mexican_bum\half-life\esf\map.pts"

it might be the folder you have the .map in.
i.e. "documents and settings" ... you should use a folder with no spaces in the folder name. like, c:\my_maps\

DJ's right. You should compile from a folder without spaces and without a lot of sub-directories. It also helps to have your compiling tools in a similar folder (or right on the C drive). The fact it can't find the .prt and the .bsp means that CSG and BSP didn't do their job or simply couldn't find the files to do the job.

How many .wad files do you have loaded up in Hammer? CSG will mess up if you have more than eight, even if they're not in the map.
