BUt linkin park is most commercial band all over the world( together with bizkit)

I beg to differ, i'd say that Slipknot r more commercial then linkin... and don't try denying it. They do ANYTHING to get fans, they say they don't care yet they seem to do more then anyone else.

I have a theory on Slipknot. Considering they where masks, they play instruments ****, and the lead singer can't sing... my theory is that Slipknot r just guys they pull off the streets, put in a tracksuit, cover them with a mask, give them an instrument and do whatever the **** they want with it. c'mon, it makes perfect sense

But thats cause i dont like n00b metal(or its called new metal idont know it) which Linkin park, Bizkit and the whole other "not skilled" bands do!!!

actually, i despise Limp Bizkit... and in case u don't realise, Slipknot have only been around about oh, 1 year? KoRn r considered nuMetal and they've been around 11 years... I think the name NuMetal needs to be revised

...1995 their was the first slipknot LP called Mate, feed, kill, repeat, an indipendant release! And the name new metal dosnt comes from the time they have been in the business! Its from the way they play! New metal not really is metal!It s more like a kind of rock!

And they dont play solos in their songs so its no real metal!

Bizkit is ****... but i like Linkin, saw em in concert last year, the mosh pit i was in lowered the floor 6 inches from the weight and impact I also kicked a sercurity guard in the head while crowd surfing during Forgotten, good stuff

i voted new found glory cuz there close enough to my favorite bands which are pop punk/punk rawk ike MxPX, Blink182, Junction18, Starting Line, Sugarcolt, UNwritten Law.. and the list goes on

You guys should check out Mushroomhead.
They're an 8 member band who wears masks.....sound familiar?
It should.
Slipknot ripped them off.
Slipknot....they've been around since 1995.

Mushroomhead...they've been around since the late 80's-early 90's.
Plus, their music is actually GOOD.
Slipknot may have taken their fasion..but they could never copy their music.
Its some of the strangest sounds I've ever heard.
Completey different from every band out there.

Its not "new" metal.
Its Nu Metal.
Oh, and I know the selection was pretty limited..I just closed my eyes and grabbed 10 cds..those bands are the ones that came out.

... MUshroomhead! Cause they dont know them! May your right that they were costumes since their beginning in the late 80's and make the music since this time!But stop me if i'm not right "XX" was their first "not indie" realese or not! And so nobody knows them! So slipknot couldnt copy them, cause they dont know them!
And the clown, #6 shawn crahan wears his mask since the 80's,too! All members have played in other bands before they come together!
I dont say Mushroomhead is bad! But Slipknot hadnt copy them!
They make completly other style of music i think!

Never said slipknot copied their musical style...slipknot is terrible in comparison

just saying that the mode of dress was copied.
And yeah, XX was their first big release....but they were big enough before then.....3 popular indie releases.

I liked Tool the best out of what was posted (they kick a$$ live). After that is NIN, Zombie and Deftones.

Black Sunshine is the best driving music since ZZ Top and Sammy Hagar.

I would have voted Megadeth (old), Metallica (old) and Faith No More had they been up there
