some 500$ emachines POS,
2.0 ghz, 256 ddr, gf4 64mb, (i forget what card specifically it is, but it was probabaly the best PCI videocard available at best buy) id get a agp mobo so i could use the higher end cards, BUT, i know exactly **** about computer hardware,
for all the stuff it had on it, at the time i consider what i paid a good price,
40 gb HD, 256 ddr, cdrw (duno what speed, but its pretty fast), a dvd drive, i saw computers there with less stuff that were more expensive cuz of the brand name,
though with these specs it should run some of these games a little better, i run cs at 95-100 fps when im not hosting a game, (i only play at lan parties so i can see the person going nuts when i knife em)
on esf it goes from 50-85 at will, but it is most of the time over 75 at least,
on TS its roughly 60 fps, (which i dont have it capped or have v sync on, it just stays there i have no clue why it does that),
i wish to play games such as halo, half life 2, final fantasy x, Unreal 2k3 and 2(genrally the new generation games) with the same or better performance that i achieve with the curent games,
i am planning to upgrade my pc for HL2, (which i know i wont ned to) but i want to know how much i need to be looking to spend and what is my prioritys in getting a better gamoing computer,
(i do plan to get a bigger HD with the package as well, 40 gigs sounds like alot til you only have 2 gigs left)
