half life menus...

alright i have counter strike retail and i updated yata yata yata the problem is when ever i click on somthing in the menu , u know how it ends up on the toP?? well that thing happens only really ssllooww so takes forever to go from one menu selection to another and this happens to all mods not just esf. has anyone else incountered this?? and plz dont say to install and reinstall i have tried already...

howmuch memory do you have in your pc?
and how warm does your pc gets before you try to switch mods?

I have seen it happen on three different comps, from my old P133, which I had HL on first, this comp, my Celeron A 466 (with 384MB RAM) and my freinds Pentium III . . . I have never found a reason for it.

damn... have u ever fixed it??? and it happens to every mod not just esf. i have 512 ram ddr and its not really hot from what i know...

post your system information by rightclicking on my computer and then properties, wait for the stuff to come up on the bottom right of the box and copy and paste that here so i can tell u whats wrong,

plus whats your vid card type, and how much? 16bit? 32 bit? 64bit?

tell me.

i think it's more depending on his processor.
if he got a processor slower then 1000 mhz (1,0 ghz)
then it would prolly be that his cs doesn't like it. by making it slow.
i don't think it's his vidcard. the vidcard is suppose to avoid shocking of the user ingame.
just what i think though

Is your problem like when u click to open up a menu it makes the sound but that menu doesnt open till like 2 secs later? because that happens to me.:S

That happens to me too, but it's becuase I have an old, crappy computer.
