Hello. I have a question...what is the difference between the half life engine and half life 2 engine? recently i was surfing on www.moddb.com (voted esf :p) and thought about someone to convert esf on the half life 2 engine! I don't even know if that's possible but for a moment it sounded good. Any opinions? see ya...

I think it's becuase the majority of people in America, that have computers can run Half - Life 1, not just any regular computer can run Half - Life 2.

This stuff won't be in the next releases, so don't bother posting about it.

A New Engine
ESF is a half life mod plain and simple. The team will not be throwing away all models and maps and coding just to change to some new engine that allows for more features.

Minimum requirements are a 1 giga processor and a 64 megabyt GFX card. No idea about the rams ^^

And swiching to HL2 would bring less than staying on HL1. The HL2 mods have been in development for about the same time as ESF 1.3 and i think the progress is similar.
