I agree with LS. Pride you've made 2 positive posts followed by 7 negative ones over the course of this thread and I don't see anything constructive coming out of it. We can accept the designers made some mistakes, and it sucks, but we can't do anything about it.
At least I am still talking about the game--which is what the thread is about--rather than descending into complaining about other people's opinions about it.
I'm just relaying my experiences with the game. I don't remember there being anything in the AUP that says "Never talk unless it's praise" or "If someone starts a thread about how good something is, you have to agree no matter what." Either way I'm not breaking any rules and welcome to planet earth--not everyone is going to have the same experiences or agree on things, especially when it comes to a game.
If you're going to moan about me, you ought to be more fair and moan about everyone here who had a negative experience. I haven't posted that much, only like 4 times; no more than anyone else. If I've replied 9 times in this thread I'm sure your incredibly low tolerance for my opinion would've shined through earlier, and if not, I figure I'd at least have subscribed to the thread.
Back ontopic though: I managed to get in last night after giving it one more fervent try before uninstalling it. After 15-20 minutes and several dozen attempts on both servers, it miraculously let me in for the first time since last Thursday. I had a good bunch of melee only rounds in a couple of servers and actually learned to wall-run. I managed to get up two levels in one sitting, though I think the prices are a little steep for new gear. I bought some ugly ass gloves and some ugly ass shoes.
Didn't have any noticable lag problems once it let me in, for the record--though it always displayed my ping as zero. Found the newest trend with the knife dash to be pretty annoying but also useless -- the knife does way less damage then the sword. I don't know how much I like the leveling system--what's the point of having levels 1-4 if you can't get new stuff till level 5? Seems to me like making the XP bar need to fill four times to get to level 2 would've made more sense. Also it's pretty tough to get bounty...I think they should have ways to get notable amounts of it quickly. But this game is from Korea, the gold-farming capitol of the universe--I imagine their demographic is not at all averse to sitting down and requiring the better part of 300 kills in order to buy a new sword.
Either way it's still pretty good as long as you stay melee only.
