Nowadays going for two gpu's seems more reasonable than ever before for cheap upgrade
in power u can just buy second 8800 or duo of ati's x4870 which should be cheaper than 5850
and they beat crap out of it.

And have no DX-11, no guaranteed support for all games (esp ATI) and can sometimes cause more trouble than perf gain. Depending on how demanding the game/res is, microstutter can be a problem as well.
