first attempt...what you think?

Pretty good for a first attempt, glad you haven't gone OTT with the photoshop effects like most banners. My main gripe is that the colours look all dark and washed out (with a slight green tint?) Make them richer like in your sig o/

It also looks a bit like the faces of the woman and man are a bit squashed.
Like they are wider then they should be.

And I would go with what ravendust says, the colors, look a bit boring.

the first most important rule you should have known, is NEVER, EVER SCALE AN IMAGE TO FIT OUT OF PROPORTION. *cough* i get a little emmotional about these things...

It's good, but the middle is kinda strech. =o
