a monitor is the thing you are sitting in front. it is very bright and displays alot of colours, i think sumthin about 16 million. if u press the one button where power is seen, then it will go off and it will get black. now u can try to see anything, but there is nothing. because it is off.

a screenshot from halflife cant be off powered. because it is a code of bytes. u can delete it. a screen/monitor cant be deleted.

you see?

lets make a check:

Screen: hardware, can be powered off

screenshot: software, cant be powered off
