game crashes :(

i can run esf even though my computer isnt that good but occasionaly i get ingame erros and the game shuts down. i get an error about decals. ten when i try to reload the game i get HL caused an error in DDRAW.DLL. iv lowered the performance tab down 1 notch. and then 2 notches but i still get the errors. can these be fixed?. thanks

Are you using Steam with the latest version of ESF? (1.2.3)

yep. and it runs on software. because if i run in opengl or d3d the game freezes my comp and i can only unfreeze by cutting the power

Software mode causes problems. Update your drivers and use another video mode.
