Well....

1 - increase the max viewable distance.
2 - try to use more textures, instead of just two.
3 - all there is, is basic shapes.
4 - ever seen a sky made of out concrete ? I sure haven't.
5 - change the sky, the default hl sky is even uglier then p00.

The brush work needs to have more detail. They all look like you spammed a bit with blocks, and that's it.

sorry i have to agree. im not a mapper but even i could have done that. its all rectangles with 2 textures. honestly i dont like it.

but i will give you credit that it is indeed original and i dont think anyone thought of that but you. so thats always a good thing.

Ok, enough kerosene (flames) for one day:

Some helpful suggestions would be to add curbs, lamp posts, perhaps boxes (representing air conditioner/heater), an antenna or two, doorways (without actually being able to go through them), maybe a lower building or two (like a corner store or something.) After you make all that, skin it all with that Matrix texture. Also, you could make one or two semitransparent boxes, like curtains almost (long and tall, but thin, boxes that would perhaps divide the map in half, that you could walk through,) cross-sectioning the map, with that matrix texture on them, it might have a cool effect.

Whew what a mouthful.

For the texture you could motion blur the lines downward somewhat, and vary the brightness of some of the columbs to create a more random effect. For the sky, it could probably the matrix-texture again, only bigger and more varied.

And another thing... would it be possible to be able to make a button on the map that changed textures on the map? And is it possible to make animated textures (****atexturewiththatmatrixtextscrollingdownwouldlookSIK *HEAVE*)

Get Wally, and name the texture you used scrollwater or something like that, in VHE you can set the direction of the flow. And it'll look like those numbers are raining down. I don't think i got the whole thing right, so check some tuts.

ontopic: i'm not impressed .. 2wads ... but if you wanna use 2 wads you should at least make it a little less basic and try to use clipping tool
offtopic: niobe shouldn't you make a map with more textures.. i don't like 2 textured maps... it's too easy to make a map with 1 or 2 textures

not only i got to see another map like this, this type of maps looks a bit the same, for there isnt much texture to work with. get a few more textures, get a bit of complexbility, fix the sky, and you got a much better map.

nop, only to me, atleast that's what i understand to vanji meaning's.
offtopic: my map is NOT just 1 or 2 textures, it has a lot divrend textures.
the only thing is that you can't see it on the outsite, i'm also trying to make a disco in it :D .

i no like that map its to plain and matrix code is weird and horrible to play in, people have attempted it in other game and its really ugly
