friend of mine has a problem

my friend has a problem. he plays esf 1.1 and he can join servers he just cant host one... why is this? i told him i thought it was cuz of a fire wall or something. what do you think it is and if so what should he do? thanks

hmmm.... very wierd.. usually its the other way around.... i would have to say im stumped on this one.. unless you can give me a error message.... or more info

Anyway, its because the firewall blocks certain ports, but i'm not sure how to unblock them on your configuration.

when he plays he should disable the firewall and when hes done he should enable it

well you see i dont know if its a fire wall or not. thats just what i suggested. do you think it could be something else? and no its for 1.1 not 1.2, i didnt make a mistake. (im one of the few that still play 1.1)

anywho do you think it could be something else other than a fire wall?
