My friends seem to be unable to post at the moment (either that or my deplorable writing skills have driven them away) so I'll make a double post to keep the ball rolling.
---------------------------
Luck was with Zensoko that day, his father was out of town sparring with a few old friends and wouldn't be back for hours. Perhaps his sensing skills were as bad as Vegen kept insisting they were..
"You can take them round back," called his mother as she added another slab of meat to the grill, "Set up on the picnic table, we need to use it more anyway. I'll be right out."
Pausing only to sniff the delicious smell and restrain Vegen and Arthos from running his mother down for a bite, Zensoko led the group out the backdoor and into the garden where a picnic table with a bench on either side sat. He managed to juggle 8 plates by himself while Vegen brought glasses and Arthos carried out a large jug of cool fruit juice ("I wont have any drunk Saiya-Jins in my house, don't think I've forgotten what happened when Trunks and Goten came over!")
While the group sat down and continued their conversation, Zensoko darted back into the house to help his mother bring out the food. She only smirked and shook her head,
"I think Mister Goodwill is more important, if you don't fix his yard he wont be living up to his name for very long."
Sighing with relief (you could lose an arm at a table with just one
Saiya-Jin) Zensoko left the house and gathered up a small group of low level trainees.
"I'm sorry to have skipped practice today but I guarantee I had a good reason," Zensoko tried to grin convincingly but it was poor in comparison to the 'Son Grin
(tm)' "and I know it's a lot to ask but I could really use your help in this one."
The unenthused group sighed, glaring at the spacepod which was firmly implanted in Mister Goodwill's now scorched yard. They could hear him muttering something about beautiful roses.
"Look," Zensoko turned back to the group with a desperate expression, "I really need this. If you come through for me now I'll teach every last one of you the 12 Eyes technique, I know you'll like it. Especially the more liberal of you."
He pretended not to notice the sparkle in a few of the teenagers eyes and turned back towards the yard.
"You have your missions, back to work kids."
As the group started prying the smoking ship out from the ground, ignoring the old man all the way, Zensoko swiftly made his way towards his own home. He thought he was homefree when he reached for the door handle but instead he was in deeper than he knew.
"
What did you do to my uncle's yard?"
A shiver ran up his spine as the now familiar female voice called to him, causing his nerves to twang in fear and embarresment.
Just be natural kid, be natural.
"Who are you calling a kid?! You're only 14!"
"
What?"
I have the best of luck, I think it all started when a nice little wolfy gave me a present which I have held to this day..
Stop talking to yourself and talk to the girl. Kid.
Swiveling as if the ground was moving rather than himself, Zensoko turned and smiled nervously.
"M-mister Goodwill is your uncle?"
"My name is Jennifer Goodwill, what do you think?"
It had seemed such a cool day when he had woken up..
"Th-th-thats a n-nice name."
Oh boy..
If you don't shut up I'll kick you out!
In front of your girl-friend?
Yes in f- SHE IS NOT MY GIRL-FRIEND!
Better answer her.
"Huh?" Zensoko focused on the real world again to find her, Jennifer, staring at him expectantly.
"Um, c-could you repeat that?" She gave him an icey glare, indicating that repeating herself wasn't something she was happy about.
"I asked why you weren't cleaning up with your students."
Zensoko glanced over her shoulder at the group then back at her and gestured over his own shoulder.
"I have visitors, friends from out of town and I kinda want to catch.. up.." He trailed off under her glare, obviously he wasn't giving the right answers.
"You made a small scale disaster and now you're sending your students to clean it up because
you wanna chat up some old friends?!"
Reduced to a stuttering mess, Zensoko wasn't able to answer her which meant that Zensokzo had a window of oppurtunity. He took control of Zensoko's voice and, with the mans voice slightly gruffer than normal, replied.
"
So? I'm their master, I do what I want and they do what they're told. Who asked you for your oppinion?!"
Jennifer stuttered at that, unable to reply due to the severe build up of annoyance which was rapidly evolving into anger. Years of being watched by her father after he met this boy who had forced himself into her life without any prior meeting, who had completely ruined her chances of meeting any guy with her father watching her like a hawk. Her life had completely and utterly sucked because of this person and the only reason she had kept this to herself was that he didn't seem all
that bad.
But she now saw him for what he was! An arrogant, good for nothing who was using his fame just like her father had said.
Needless to say Zensoko was also feeling speachless. At least in the physical sense.
What the hell did you just do?!
I have created chemistry between you two, you will thank me when you're married with kids.
Married? Chemistry?! THANK?! She looks like she's going to kill me and I know I'm going to kill you!
I'd block.
Wh?-
She had been brought up in a family of fighters and the result of that was that she wasn't one to pull punches. She had also spent a lot of time training making her a formidable opponent, especially for someone unprepared for an attack. Her right hook slammed into Zensoko's face and sent him stumbling backwards, by the time he recovered enough of his common sense to call for her she was gone from sight.
He could still hear her though, cursing loudly at all people with incredibly hard heads.
"She seemed nice," Zensoko had only begun to relax when he heard his father's voice, "Quite the fire-cracker and very pretty. You two ever gone out?"
"No," came Zenosko's dead toned reply, "How long have you been here?"
"Since she called you, I saw that little trick Zensokzo pulled. I knew he was on my side all along."
Zensoko gave a little mock bow,
"I'm glad you enjoyed the show Dad but as you can see, I wont be seeing her again."
His father landed a few feet away and kicked off the weights he had been wearing for his sparring match. He removed a towel from around his neck and rubbed his black/grayish hair free of sweat before dropping it beside the weights.
He opened the door and stepped inside, not looking to see if Zensoko would follow.
"I wouldn't be so sure Zensoko, didn't I ever tell you how I met your mother?"
Cursing all women in general, black eyes and fathers, Zensoko followed his own father inside.
I think you two will make a nice couple.
I. Hate. You.

Not a mindboggling affect to the story, just keeping the thread active until the others are ready to post. Sorry if any of you guys were hoping for a fight scene.
