I agree, if this was a joke then its a pretty harsh joke. Lots of people probably have wasted many hours because of it.If this was a joke, it was an extremely lame one. You don't announce an april fools joke 7 days in advanced. You also shouldn't do april fools jokes that affect people in a negative way, I'm sure a quite a few people put work into finding a suitable file host replacement.
I think that's what made it so great.I agree, if this was a joke then its a pretty harsh joke. Lots of people probably have wasted many hours because of it.
Thanks for the information.Maybe because it didn't affect you. If it were me, and it caused alot of inconvenience and waste so much of my time, I would be pretty pissed off.
edit:
Turns out FF isn't going to be shut down, and it was not an April fools joke. The founders decided to buy the company back from Ziff Davis Media.

Of course, basically any site with lots of traffic makes alot of money through advertisements and stuff. Gaming companies pay big traffic gaming-related sites to advertise their games, fashion companies pay clothing-related sites to advertise their clothes, etc. Youtube got so much traffic that Google bought it for like 3.5 billion dollars.Good news. I wonder if filefront makes any money. I mean, if it makes money, why would Ziff Davis (Why did Ziff Davis even own Filefront? Didn't Ugo buy filefront when they bough 1UP?) sell it? If it doesn't make money, why would they buy it.
