my favs would have to be:

Perfect Dark-N64
Gauntlet legends Dark Legacy-PS2
Halo-Xbox
Super Smash bros-n64
Super Smash bros melee-Gamecube


(ssb series can be considered co-op cuz you can pick teams)

now what are your favs???

streets of rage - can be 2 player co-operative
mechwarrior 4 - u are on a team of co-operative players
cs - u are on a team hopefully with co-operative players
gauntlet - can be a 4 player co-operative game

the only co-op game he listed there was gauntlet. the rest were more along the lines of deathmatch games. my fav co-op would be CS, can be co-op or deathmatch

mabey your definition of co-op is different then mine but i define co-op as
Done in cooperation with others: a cooperative effort.

every game i named u either must work the other players or have the oppurtunity to work with other players to achieve the same goal.

just because u face other players doesnt take away the fact that you are co-operating with a team of players to wipe out anouther team of players

O man someone else that actually knows of streets of rage. Streets of Rage 2 was the best game ever made for genesis. I probably beat it around 500 and it was still fun to play it through again. So that and Halo is my pick

now, enough of the deathmatch games... the main purpose of this thread was for me and my friend to find some good games to play together.

Co-op is usually a genre where you and a friend or more play against computer-controlled opponents. This means that Counter-Strike isn't actually a cooperative game, as two teams are still working against each other... co-operative games don't have ANY player against player action, just everybody working together against the game.
