Fatal Error

Hey, I read the FAQ, and I installed and Downloaded without any trouble. But When I click the Icon to begin playing I get a Fatal Error, and it reads:

could not find filesystem dll to load

Someone please help, I would really appreciate it! Thanks.

Wich HL version?
Where did you download ESF from?
Did you rin HL/CS once be4 instalation?

I have HL 1 and 2, Downloaded off of the site. I ran HL before installing.

I previously clicked a game and it said my "DLL" was different from the servers....

I AM USING STEAM>

I downloaded it off of HL 2 Files.

OK first you nead to uninstall ESF.
Second download ESF b1.2.3 full installer.
Install it it should fix boath problems.

Aperantly the patches you ussed messed up when installing. So you have to uninstall ESF and install it again. the fastest way is to get 1 of the full installers for 1.2.3

But if you prefer the long way you have to get ESF 1.2 than patch it to 1.2.1 and after that apply the patches to 1.2.2 and than 1.2.3

Basicly that should fix your problem. Unless you have a unwanted program messing round with your files ^^

Oh jea and 1 more thing with HL1 i hope you ment the old one and not the one that runs on the source engine cause ESf cant run on source
