Fantasy Super Smash Brothers

Ok one of my fav games on the gamecube is Super Smash Brothers Melee, and if you dont know what that is, well its a game where nintendo got a bunch of famous people from all of their other games and decided that it would be nice if they all duked it out in a crazy battle. I was thinking why doesn't nintendo capitalize on their sucess with this game and make a new one..darn.

Anyway this thread is all about you guys who own Ps2's and Xbox's. If somehow they were able to create a game that had all the Playstation characters fight each other ( ex; Cloud Strife vs Goofy(kingdom hearts)) or Xbox characters ( ex Master Seargent vs hmm i dunno whoever is xbox exclusive) what characters would you want in that game?

PS Please no console bashing....or else i will eat your face

I'd love Geese Howard from Fatal Fury (If you don't know about the AVS\MVS home system, shame on you!) to be in there.

If it had to be a PS2 exclusive it'd probably have to be Ratchet and Clank or Jaxx and Dexter.

I cant imagine my favorite 2D Fighters in crappy models like the ones in Smash Brothers... But I can imagine FF characters like that... So pretty much all the Final Fantasy Characters, also remove all the stupid pokemon from the game. Nobody likes them and they should all burn in hell.

ssbm is still my favourite gamecube multiplayer game. ive always wondered what it'd be like on another console. But it really only works best for nintendo since they have alot more original characters of their own.

lol, Tom & Jerry? I have a feeling their abilities would be as stupid and as dull as the Ice Climbers. (Its confusing enough to keep your eye on who you are with those two but I guess if its a rat and a mouse working together you can tell).

As for Skate from Street of Rage... I liked Skate at first but then I began the thinking... NO... I liked the other dude best (I forgot his name but hese the main character with the white t-shirt + blue jeans).

Notice it's mostly the same people, but I've replaced Pikachu, that kiddie lego looking thing, and whoever else my brain is trying to subconsiously forget. Sonic and Shadow would please the Sega Genesis nostaglic fans, conker would add the humer factor, and Ryu and Akuma (chibi style or polygon-ish designed) would get some hardcore fighting game fans into the game.

Of course, contracts and licenses would conflict... but it's fantasy right?
