We could release an open beta. But you are badly misstaken if you believe it has less bugs.

Youd be falling through terrain, crashing all the time and your FPS would hardly ever get over 50 unless you have a really good computer.

Even so do you have any idea why the open beta was a faliure?
Ya I can very well assume that there are bugs still...and ya it was a really annoying thing that people didn't report the bugs...Well...as long as at least one map works fine it'll be good for many fans out there..but open beta final wudn't have been such a failure if it was released(leaked) sometime later...coz u guys didn't even finish melee animations, no functioning bots..I bet there wud've been a psychological effect on the people if it had these two and they wud've reported bugs earnestly to hope for the best results..but if someone can't even properly fight a bot and without melee animations..they'll get annoyed and call it "buggy"....

Which means they didn't get the idea of testing a public beta. The point was to test it, despite bugs. If it crashes, get back in and figure out why it did it. But ppl expected a playable game,. That was the problem.

Like Karrde said. The open beta was the best chance people could have to see what testers go through. And trouth be told we recruited the ones who have proven themselves with reporting the open beta bugs into the testing team.

Besides we stated time and time again that it was a snapshot of the inteam. Meaning an exact copy of what we had at the time.
