The charging of the melee combos in the movie is to slow i think.
in the time you charge a combo anyone could shoot you with a kamehameha wave or gallit gun and thats annoying

Any feature in 1.2 that requires a certain amount of time to execute has a Cvar on it that the person creating the server can make longer or shorter. The reason that the amount of time you get to string together a combo is so big is because it's the most active/interactive stage of melee combat in 1.2 . The longer you have to make a combo the longer your opponent has to counter and so on and so forth.

And ontop of that, we made it rediculously long so we can test melee. In the final version the charging phase will be much shorter.
