ESF just simply closed

I was playing ESF, about 10min into a LAN game, and it just simply closed. Thats it, no errors or anything. I recently started using, ugh, Steam, because WON is gone. Was this a Steam or ESF problem, and anyway to prevent it from happening again?

random crashes... dunno what can be done atm, I dont think anything CAN be done till the esf coders fix it
I know I never crashed an esf game yet and I play a lot
