esf is to slow

guy's i have a problem witch esf its not fast i dont now why but i have geforce4 mx 420 pentium 3 800mhz and a 256 mb ram
i just wanna play esf relaxt i cant man its slow
i just wanna ask you boys of there is any way to make it faster:cry: ;(

well thats not a great pc really, my pc is above that slightly and it can still play slow.
its just a matter of how many players on the game, have a look on search and check stickies, theres tons of things that can help.

I think that if you change your screen size it will help. Seeing you are running a geforce 4 right now, you probably have the screen size 1024 x 768. Change it to 640x480. Sure it isnt as good as 1024 768 but it will help improve your speed

Strange. I remember that you told me when we were playing ESF that you didnt want to play at 640 x 480 because" that window was to small for your great skills to perform in". Ok..........

Try turning your moniter refresh rate up (via display control panal) and/or use the geforce tweaker (www.guru3d.com).

yeah i now but after that i tried it on 640x blablabla and it was still the same maybe a little bit faster i just dont get it

Hey, also use opengl, dont use d3d or software to render hl (this has to be changed from teh Options>Video>Video Modes (i think) in the hl main menu). And also use the tweaker.

Well if it was a little bit faster than use it. I mean would you drive 150 miles with an old car? No ofcourse not. Thats the same thing you're doing now with your computer

hmm weird, i have a look alike pc:

Celeron 900
256mb ram
GF Fx 5200

and have no problems at all at playing...
but maybe my video is better.. that could make the difference...

When you go to "download Driver" the drivers on the site support all the nvidia cards just choose your operating system

maybe you just have ab ad internet connection or you play on bad servers and your ping goes really high.

Yea I get some pretty low fps to 10-40 with my
Pentium 4 1.6 Gigahertz
512 MB Ram
GeForce 3 @ 275/555
And only maybe 5-10 players in the game. Res is at 1024 by 798 or something close . Pretty bad fps compared to like Unreal Tournament 2k3. :/
