Personally I think what the team has done is quite good. Most modifications fall apart very fast , but as long as the leadership is good, and the loyalty towards the work exists , everything can be done .

(I still haven't tried this since the alpha version, but I hear it's gotten better)

I think the thing that seperates the big mods from the small is a real aim or goal. CS aspired to be the most realistic FPS ever. The Specialists aimed to create amazing, stunt filled, gunfights directly from an action movie. For the ESF team, it would have been to create the best Dragonball Z game ever. They succeeded.

Ya, i'll admit it, I don't play ESF too much anymore. But that definately doesn't mean it isn't a fun game.

ESF is one of the best, if not the very best mod I've ever played for hl. The whole team is outstanding, with each update they have improved more and more, back when I was playing alpha 2.0, I never ever would've guessed the team would come this far.

ESF is truely an outstanding game, not just a mod. Some of my favourite times in video games was played in ESF. My hat's off for everyone on the team, you guys are amazing, and I sincerely thank each and every one of you for creating one of the funnest games ever.

This mod is amazing, in my opinion it easily equals cs, and its graphics are incredible for the HL engine. The team has obviously worked their hardest on this mod and you don’t even get paid >_<

This mod is one of the best and 1.3 will just push it to the top.

Agreed. Even though it won't work for me I have to say the MM Water effect has the BESt graphics on the HL engine. ESF Has the best original graphics. GJ guy's!

I wanne thank the ESF team for all the hard work they have done and still do for 1.3.
Also for the unique kinda gameplay I never experienced before.

From a fun factor point of view the game is almost perfect.
From a skill/balancing factor point of view there is still much to be done imo.
Could give many examples about char and gameplay balancing but I will not do it here.

I just hope the team would listen to the so called "elite" players for 1.3 but im pretty sure that will not happen. :S

Its good to see a thread like this. Lately all I see are people complaining about whats wrong with the mod. Nobody ever mentions the good stuff. hats off to the team who've come so far and hats off to saiyanpride for speaking up about the good stuff.

Yus! Now, I'd like to thank the entire ESF team for making this mod.. This is by far one of the best games I've played, its also a game you never actually *quit* playing, but always come back to! (eventually)

1.0/1.1 were just amazing to me. 1.2.x i dont like as much but still are fun to play. I really dont think the esf teams gets enough "props" for doing what they have done and continue to do in there free time. Good works guys I really hope this time pays off in your futures.

I do have to say that the team is fantastic. Threads like these are good everynow and then so they know that we appreciate their dedication.

I played once a long time ago. (I dont rememebr what version[back when turbo was like a non-moving crystal type thing that surrouded you]). I liked Dragon Mod Z better. At the time it had more to it. Anyway I had stopped playing that a LONG time ago and then a week ago i saw some kids in the rec room at college playing budokai 3 (or however it's spelled), and when i went home i looked up DMZ and it was STILL the same version as when i had quite over two years ago. then i rememebr this, come here, download the game. I got the **** kicked out of me left and right but i was having too much fun watching everything happen (the only kill i got was when i accidently melee's a guy for 12 hits, i went to sidestep and double tapped it and boosted into somoen and killed em). Anyway i was simply amazed by this game and have shown it to some of my friends and we love it. The only complaint i have is that i think the arrows should be in the center (above char or even right on them) because i like looking at the characters. it's also fun to see really good people just rape everything in site. Oh yes, and i cant wait to see the later versions with the extra transformations. It's nice that you're sticking to the series the only person i would really miss would be broly, but that's made up in the sheer awesomeness of the mod. Also im glad it stays with HL1, as i like CS1.6 more than source and wouldnt want the same to happen to this. Oh also it's neat becasue most of the player i meet are nice and they try to help you and teach stuff and it's just fun learning, feels like im 'training'

Heh. That's why I have a rep as an ass-kisser. But as far as I'm concerned, they gave me my favorite game to play ever...they deserve some props. So hat's off...cause from where I'm standing this is the most impressive mod work I've seen, by far.

Man, I've been blessed enough to semi see how ESF works behind closed doors (the testing part anyways) and the team kicks ass.

Except for grOOvy, because he gives us "evaluations" in his office every week >_< !
