I saw this on the Daily Show. I thought it was a joke. Until I went to the website.

www.drinkcocaine.com

*sigh* Only in America...

*EDIT* Website appears to be down, probably because of the Daily Show traffic.

Here's some wikinfo.
Wikipedia said:
Cocaine is a highly caffeinated energy drink which claims to be 350% stronger than other energy drinks such as Red Bull, but that people do not experience the "sugar crash" or jitters other energy drinks produce. Its controversial name comes from the makers' claim that the drink is a legal alternative to the drug cocaine. The product is currently being sold only in New York and Los Angeles, however it has received inquiries about being sold in Britain and throughout Europe. It is also being sold in several convenience stores in Florida.

L.m.a.o

I just saw that on the Daily Show too

Apparently 'burns' your throat, but some people need their fix

But for a drink to be named after a notorious drug like cocaine to do more good and harm is perplexing. The Daily Show interview where the interviewer roleplayed as a teenaged daughter is actually pretty realisitc. If they see a drink that is named after a real drug, then one might want to see what the real thing is like.

Maybe you can go to a dealer, and he can sell you some cocaine smuggled from the NY or LA area... :laff:

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Another can for the obesity recycling bin.

They're probably going to make decent money off of this though.

I love my V and red bull so much. Yesterday, since a 4 pack of V cans was $6 I decided to grab 3 4 packs and went through 2 of them with ease, making total consumption 2L (8x250ml cans).

If this drink is really that much better then I want it :(.

Now to go downstairs an buy a bottle of black V.

Sucks that caffeine doesn't work on me. Then again, Vikoden doesn't work on me and Morphine acts like speed to me. Only reason why I know this is because of my neck breaking accident that I had 2 years ago.

I'd like to see you back up your statement with proof rather then just using some random context for your post and saying "this is that bla bla bla"... It would need to be Dependant on how strong the coffee was, as remember you can get coffee in various strengths/shots.

If you read the labels on energy drinks, they contain the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee. Quantity also needs to be taken into consideration. It was reported a while back here that a school student drank 9 bottles of V and then fainted and went to hospital. Do the math here, 9x350ml = 3150ml or 3.15L of total consumption.

You have clearly never had a double double. Once you have, you'll agree that it's proven. Nine out of ten sherpas have said coffee is their beverage of choice while ascending mountains. Their yaks agree too.

Just a note, but, 9 out of 10 sherpas don't have access to a 7-11... I'm not agreeing or disagreeing. I'm just saying...

And another reason they'd prefer coffee is the same reason Alexander the Great's army drank boiled water when crossing the alps... Because it keeps you warm.

I'll agree that it's not proven with very little proof. I myself can stay up for the whole night and possibly 3hrs or so of the next day or possibly 2days with a 4 pack of V, coffee on the other hand really doesn't work for me in the long run. Energy drinks also contain other ingredients besides caffeine, such as taurine and vitamins (see back of particular energy drink for those details, V contains vitamins B6 and B12).

then again what you say is also false overlord. Hey it has the same amount as a cup of coffee...what if that cup of coffee is decafinated..

better yet...didn't you just say there are different brands of coffee with different amounts of potency? so the assurance of how much is really in one of these is also inconclusive on what TYPE of coffee

EDIT*

In general one serving of coffee ranges from about 40 milligrams for a single shot (30 milliliters) of arabica-variety espresso to about 100 milligrams for strong drip coffee. ((SHOTS OF COFFEE))

Soft drinks typically contain about 10 to 50 milligrams of caffeine per serving. By contrast, energy drinks such as Red Bull contain as much as 80 milligrams of caffeine per serving. ((CAN OF RED BULL)) The caffeine in these drinks either originates from the ingredients used or is an additive derived from the product of decaffeination or from chemical synthesis. Guarana, a prime ingredient of energy drinks, contains large amounts of caffeine with small amounts of theobromine and theophylline in a naturally occurring slow-release excipient.

It tastes bad.. I hated it. I spit it out instantly. I cant even describe the taste :\
