Hey I was looking around a game site, when I saw some screens of Dragonball Z boudakai gor Gcn. I then went to the Ps2 site and I also saw some screens. When I compared them both, It looked like the one for GCn is cell shaded to the max and looks totally better than it's Ps2 counterpart. has anybody seen these screens?

I've seen screenshots of a cell shaded Budokai, but I thought it was Budokai 2 for the PS2?
Did it actually say it's for the GCN?

The cell shaded budokai is for the PS2. They are some time soon releasing the first budokai for the GameCube. But it shouldnt be cell shaded.

It should be the same game as it was for the PS2.

The thing that mad that game crap was the simple fact that the kamehameha wasn't blue. Oh, that and it was nothing more than a combo game. I enjoyed watching the story more than fighting...

Last time I checked you get a warning for censorship evasion :p
I loved the Budokai games. I'm very happy it wasn't all just a projectile game like Final Bout was. It was mostly melee combos.

Actually. Boudokai 2(PS2) and Budokai(GCN) are both cel-shaded...Personally, I think the GCN style of cel-shading is much better...and I think that Boudokai2 and Boudokai(GCN) both look far better then the PS2 version of Boudokai...

The game cube does actually have a better graphics engine than the PS2. If you play games that are on both platforms you'll notice the difference. And I did like budokai, playing world tournament mode is always fun especially on the hardest levels. But two player is where its at just like any other fighting game.

I agree with ya L337_C4N4D14N.
Seems the gamecube is more fitting for toon and cel shading games, and yeah it is more powerful

ps2 > gcube

what the hell are u guys smoking cause last time i checked the playstation 2 had a better processor and graphics card. budokai 2 will be even better because like most fighting game the fans had a lot of input on the sequel.

why do u think tekken 1 and 2 didn't sell as well as tekken 3 and up?

the fans intervened and told the coders what they wanted. the same goes for this mod, i know the coders use most of their own ideas but they do take in some of the fans input.

yes and the fact that when SSJ, your aura is still white (while in battle) which I really hate about Budokai. How much more effort could they have possibly put into it to add these small features. Cell's voice.... It's the exact same while fighting while in Imperfect/Semi-Perfect and Perfect Cell.. What they can't code the voices for each transformation? I dunno I just found it weird. What was also weird was that...
In the Cell saga in story mode Piccolo has just fused with Kami and goes to find Cell.

"Cell! You monster!!"

They talk and talk.. Then later just before they are about to fight Piccolo says...

Who are you? Tell me!

Lol.. Either mistake or on purpose.

Gamecube has the potential to be a much better system than playstation 2, but they are both good. I just wonder why people would bother buying Xbox and all the decent games are either on different systems or are or being ported to be PC (it is microsoft after all).

Yea, that cell voice thing bothered the hell outta me, in the cutscenes he sounds like he should, but during the fighting perfect cell and form 2 (semi-perfect or whatever) he sounded like the raspy imperfect cell. And the other thing that I hated was that psing was impossible. I personally liked final bout more in some ways. Sure, the graphics weren't the best, and it wasn't very fast paced, but it had psing, flying (to a better degree any way), and beam could be pulled off without pummeling your enemy into the floor first and hoping they didnt manage to get back up and block before your attack hit.

Budokai 2 will be crap.. they took away story mode. Budokai fighting sucks. They turned it into a game like mario party when you go around the board and fight people.. it will be so ***.

personally i loved budokai and found it to be a different way of fighting in a game, it made it more challenging and so the other person could hardly run away so easily to just power up and i can't wait for budokai 2 and as i have heard they plan to start story mode where they left off in budokai (not sure if its true or not though) but i am sure they will have it or something better/similar. As for budokai on GCN(whats the N stand for? lol) i got it for PS2 no need to get it for gamecube, since it is just gonna be redone into cel shading why waste money for same game but a little difference in graphics?

Um....where have you been? When all these systems came out (including xbox) there were many tests by different groups and it always came out as xbox having best graphics followed second by GC and then by PS2, but not too far behind GC. If you dont believe me, go out and rent the ps2 games you got that crossed over to gc and compare the graphics and the smoothness.
