Dont understand gohan`s shield

I just dont understand how you use it.
Sometimes it fires ir sometimes it doesnt, it leaves behind yellow things y dont know what are or do, and i dont understand how to fire it

Charge the shield up with the primary fire button, hold primary fire and then press secondary fire and hold it (you can relaese primary fire now). When you want to fire it just let go of the secondary fire button.

*remember that the shield is VERY buggy in other online servers.. if you use shield server can crash
