@GokuSSj: Looking good. Watch how you add your details though. Those spikes coming off the bottom of the chest armor could use some further fleshing with actual modelling of the shapes, instead of a single triangle plane and zero thickness.

Thanks

Guess I'm almost done with the model, 100 tris till the 6000 limit, so a crazy dragon blade need to come somehow

going to leave the wings simple and let the texture do the rest same for the dragon teeths to recover a few more polys since the dragon took me a lot.

@movento: True. But realism isn't my native style, and if I go for it my chances change from more than likely to lose, to definitely going to lose ^^;

@Mad_Ax: Much more suited to the body now. I can't wait to see how you get down the hair =D

Tryforce, looks pretty cool.did you make the normal maps in zbrush/mudbox?
i like the face, reminds me of ghost rider =o.The only problem i see is that your diffuse map is washing out your normal map.Keep working on it Mr " Pimpin' ain't easy ":)

thanks, yours looking good too just give it more details
nice idea of using your own head as reference, maybe I should use mine too hehe

Anyway need to stop my progress for now a new request has been made so I need to work on a Jerusalem level model
going to start texturing the fellow in weekend which will be pure realistic
the texture for the wings will be of a dragon, the half of the face neck and a bit of body will have a different skin like an acid blood or something, didn't thinked at the rest yet

pixel I know you can texture better then that so common man

if it's his first time working with a normal map to generate shadows, then his texturing will suffer a bit.

np, looks much better but I see your going more to a anime style, your going for cartoonie?

Anyway just to bump this thread to say that I'm still alive to the contest
finished faster what I was working at by huring up (128x128 all textures, 12000 triangles)
http://forums.hollowinteractive.com/bushidou/ART/renders/jerusalempicture.jpg

and started the head texture, still a heavy wip, right now is simmetry and has no details also the mask is not textured so I hide it
and not sure what to do with the hair color so I tried one red and one white to light blue, still need to work a bit the hair map
and think what is best to suit him which is quite a pain...

pics

hope more ppl from here is active to the war

I personally like the bluish white one more. Gives more of a contrast against the skin
The eyes in both versions look a tad unreal though. Mostly because you can see the full circle of the iris unless a person has the eyes wide open. Try enlarging them a tad and see if that gives you a result you like.

Beginnings of the hi poly
