Does anyone know if this Kazaa deal is over u know about them chargin u or somethin like that they also said they could spy on u if u continue to download stuff so does anyone know if its over?

well if i remember right kazaa is supposed to be anonymous, if they do spy on you its just as illegal as you downloading the stuff,

the truth is they do spy on you, its been tested and found out, if you Do not wanna be spyed on, you just clean your pc from all the spyware kazaa installs. if you read though the licence and agreement, it talks about 3rd party applications and you should eccept them..

Actually it is fully legal for them to "spy" on you. Also all the legal action they are taking against people is for people in the states. They have no power outside USA. This will not be ending anytime soon I dont think, not untill all the rich people become even richer.

Somebody needs to visit www.k-lite.tk and get themselves Kazaa lite, the fan modification of Kazaa that takes out the spyware and ups your download speeds. It even has a proggy built into the installer that removes your old kazaa registry keys if you choose to have them removed (why the hell not?).

There monitoring all transfers on kazaa atm. Its not illegal for them to do so unless its through a school. As some universities are going against the riaa and saying no. If in fact they are protected by the family education privacy act (or something like that) than it would be illegal for the riaa to charge universities and the students inside of them. The riaa is only responsible for music allthough a digital strike force, if you will, is being created to track down people sharing copywrited movies (being divx ripped feature films, not your pron). Hope this explains a little.

man im done with kazaa im downloadin adaware which takes all 3rd party programs or spy programs off ur comp its free and after that im forgetin about kazaa i dont think its worth it

if you remove the spyware from the original 'kazaa' it will not operate. its a built in foolproof system to make sure they can see what your doing. i suggest getting 'kazaa-lite' as sonic boyster said. suposedly its spyware free, and it does vamp up your dl speeds and a whole bunch of other stuff.

i know im deletin all the spyware with a program i already removed kazaa from my comp btw can anyone explain how to use ad aware im just askin for help on knowin which files to delete so if anyone would help me id appreciate it

man they arent gonna be able to take ANY type of legal action against u if u are not making profit of the music u have on your comp...its the same now as it was when Napster was online...there is no law saying that u cant have mp3's on your computer...the only thing that is illegal is if u burn the stuff onto a cd and sell it for profit...thats copyright infringement...and besides...if u want a cd enuff u will go out and buy it or find a friend that has it and copy it...same goes for dvd's if u want a movie bad enuff u can either buy it or copy it from the rental place and get it for a fraction of the cost...piracy/leeching is always going to be around as long as the internet is still around there is no way around it...and there is nothing that the gov't can do about it...its not like if u have something pirated on your comp they are gonna send swat to your house and arrest u....

Kazaa Lite is just as vulnerable as Kazaa to those who wish it to be.
They've sending subpoenas to everyone downloading that they can, even people downloading legit files, and porn. If they subpoena you, they can take all your pc equipment as evidence, and all they need to find is one file that isn't yours, or free. Chances are, if you're on Kazaa you have a file like that, I would guess that is their line of reasoning.
