Does 1.1 change custom sprites/models?

Just a quick question, will it auto change graphic stuff to 1.1 or keep the custom ones?

For me it changed the models, but some of the sounds and sprites will stay the same from the last time. Its funny right now, i have this screwed up Pikkon-Picollo hybrid. I get the the loud THUNDER FLASH ATTACK followed by the new SBC..lol.
