Anyway, dont let these "flames" get to you. If you like EVM what are peoples OPINIONS going to do to that. I still preffer ESF offer EVM and I understand where all these reasons are coming from because all of them are tru.

But, since EVM are aware of these problems I really want to see what they dish up next.

You want reasons?

EVM is unbalanced. Working your way up to SSJ3 and then spamming the entire map with genballs, giving no others a chance to retaliate, is lame and unbalanced. The characters are vastly overpowered. They're trying to do something that just won't work with HL's small maps. You can't make an attack that nukes everything within a certain radius and expect it to work fairly in HL's small maps.

This is a fact. Their ideas might work better if they were implemented in a different game engine with vastly bigger levels, where nuking one end of the map doesn't mean you blow yourself and half the others up in the process.

Many of EVM's community consists of whiny n00bs who do not respect rules, are lazy and wish only to become powerful with very little effort. They lack honor and discipline. This is an indirect cause of EVM, so while EVM isn't directly to blame, its creators are. The game is flawed (both in gameplay and coding: why the hell can you download most files except for potara.mdl? Hell, why is it possible to download it via Steam at all? It just clogs up the server list and makes all the n00bs come to our forum. Nice going.)

You know, let's nip this in the butt, shall we? The ESF vs EVM vs EEA vs BTL etc, etc, et al, ad nauseum is starting to sound a lot like the old ESF vs DMZ topics from years ago. While people may make valid points, they end up degenerating into cheap flame wars in the end. I for one am tired of that. I'm closing this thread because people are simply going to have their own opinions one way or the other, people are going to be offended, people are gonna flame and spam, and then we'll have to step in anyway. Let this be the end of this, ok? What was it that Judge had in his sig? Something to the effect of the world being a better place if people stopped to consider the difference that preference makes. No more threads like this. I don't want to see anyone doing anymore ESF vs EVM comparisons.
